At Brackenwood Junior School, we are proud to offer our pupils the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through key roles.
Roles in our school include: Head Ambassadors, Year 6 Ambassdors, Sports Ambassadors - These particluar roles are opened up to pupils when they enter Year 6 preparing them to take on more responsibilitiy ready for High School.Â
Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and Digital Leader Ambassadors are available for pupils of all ages to apply for.Â
Applications are carefully reviewed by the Year 6 team and our Senior Leadership Team through a fair and thoughtful process.
Our Ambassadors play an important role in school life, supporting with end-of-day routines, presenting the values certificates to pupils in assembly, welcoming parents and guests at school events, assisting lunchtime staff, leading school tours for new pupils and families, supoorting younger children during their community garden sessions and assisting with our Attendnace rewards every Monday on our Attendnace 'Snakes and Ladders' board.Â
Our Anti-bullying Ambassadors present our kindness awards in Friday's celebration assemblies, give out the kindness biscuits on Mondays, sett up games at breaktimes and lunchtimes in our 'Buddy Area' to ensure everyone feels included and has a friend in school.
Sports Ambassdors work alongside Mr Hawthorn, our Deputy Headteacher, helping to set up games during lunch breaks and assisting with the organisation of sporting events, including Sports Day.
These roles give our pupils a valuable opportunity to contribute to the school community, while building confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
